What if you added garden habaneros and serranos (and salt and garlic) to a sauerkraut ferment?
Started working on the woodshop today. It has been a mess. Too much stuff, not enough room, and poorly organized to boot. I got myself in a situation where it was half-done, and such a pain to fix that I mostly haven’t been in there doing much. But I have a box full of half-finished necklaces that I intend to get finished, and a couple of sculptures, at a minimum.
Even with the Bearbricks and Labbits watching over me, this is going to be a tough one. Organization is not exactly my strong suit.
I’m making brown butter chocolate chip cookies with pecans tonight. We like to make a batch and freeze them, so we can have a couple on the weekends without going crazy. The whole house smells of them.
A friend (see his blog link — The Juggling Writer — over there) mentioned 1000 Words of Summer, which is a little mailing list driven thing about writing a thousand words a day for awhile this month. It starts Monday. I think I’m going to do it.
I haven’t really written fiction since my breakdown, seven years ago. I’m in a much better place now. I’ve been reading some of my old stuff and wow, I it’s clear to me how much pain I was in, and how I was trying to write my way out of it.
I don’t need to do that anymore. I think, I hope, I can just write some stuff. We’ll see. If I do, I may post about it, or even post it. Who knows. Depends on how awful it is.
Brigitte organized my seeds for me!
Each row represents six pepper plants. 12 Jalapeños, 12 Habaneros, 6 Aji Rico, 6 Hybrid Atris, 6 Numex Easter Ornamental, 6 Whopper Yellow Bell, 12 Sweet Habaneros (the taste without the heat for Brigitte), 6 Tequila Sunrise, and 6 Shishito peppers.
